América Central #2: Costa Rica & Panama

Traveling through Costa Rica we had no problems finding pet friendly hotels in Papagayo (Casa Conde del Mar), San José (Adventure Inn), San Geraldo de Rivas (Hotel Pelicano) and San Vito. Costa Rica is perhaps the most pet friendly country. While Ewok was admired in city parks, welcomed at restaurants and hotels Amadeus keep a low profile (mostly sleeping). We were able to stay cool for the majority of the drive through Costa Rica by taking highland routes. We did a hassle free border crossing into Panama at Rio Sereno.

We were also most fortunate to find pet friendly accommodations in the Panamanian highlands at Boquete (Pension Topaz) and Panama City (Hotel Costa Inn). Again Amadeus keep a low profile and Ewok received star status attention everywhere she went. Costa Inn staff greeted Ewok every time she left the room. Their friendliness made our stay pleasant while John arranged exportation of our SUV and I worked on getting permits to bring the pets to Columbia. With all documentation completed Ewok, Amadeus, John and I and our traveling partners Karla and Gary flew from Panama City to Cartagena on September 30th.

I have not been able to post i-movies since Guatemala but I have continued to work on it. I am now posting compressed files but the overall quality of the i-movie is reduced significantly. I will continue to explore and update later.
